Welcome
Stage Productions began in 1977 when I exhibited at my first arts & crafts show in Davis, California. The show was a success. Rather than take the path of mass production and wholesaling to stores, I chose to keep it simple and sell directly to the public at juried and higher-quality art fairs. This gave me the opportunity to directly interact with the people interested in my work, keeping me creative and excited about each new project. Today, my main endeavors are in large sculptures of wood and stained glass including, of course, my oak and cherry stained glass clocks.
The Stage Productions staff consists of:
Cary Stage
(Myself) Designer, woodworker, stained glass artist (on larger, one-of-a-kind pieces)
Deborah Whitaker
(My sister): stained glass artist extraordinaire!
Frank Harmeyer
(My mentor): retired woodshop teacher of 31 years. Frank helps in the workshop when his expertise is needed and enjoys going on the road with his wife Marge when we need to be at two shows on the same weekend.
And of course my wife Linda, who you will see with me at all the summer shows (she teaches during the school year), and Deborah's husband Tony who is forever running for supplies and packing products to be shipped.
For those of you interested in larger pieces, check out the Show page to see when we will be in your area and visit our booth.
